Inspired by Toshikazu Kawaguchi's Before the Coffee Gets Cold, Shots & What-nots tells the story of Mei, the owner of Escappe, who gets transported back in time to mend her relationship with her family; through theatre, dance and music. Sets for the show had to be modular, allowing them to transform into different spatial markers that take the audience into each scene: the cafe, the home, the park and the party.
