Nicky Josephine Tjandra (b. 2001), is a visual artist based in London and Singapore with a passion for capturing the relationship between the formation of identity and the inhabitance of the human body. She seeks to challenge the role of art and the art market, blurring boundaries between art making, screen media, design and activism. A maker at heart, she explores the transmutable nature of materials, not confining herself to one medium.
Her work has been showcased in iLight SG 2023: A New Wave, Polycrystalline at Maryland College Institute College of Art and Baby Tropical Lab 12: Sense.
When she is not dreaming up her next project, you can find her wiggling around in the dance studio, exploring her love for movement.
