This piece explores the balance between physical tension and release in the body, and how it ebbs and flows with emotional states of the body’s inhabitant. It draws from my battle to find peace with the journey of being a dancer and athlete, as I learn when to push and test the limits, and when to give in and listen. It also marks a turning point in my journey as a maker as I discover new materials and ways of making, embodying my optimistic and hungry attitude to fight to become the artist I want to be.
